Affiliated Steel & Tube is proud to announce they are now stocking food grade, sanitary tubing. Ideal for the food, beverage, and dairy industry, sanitary stainless steel tubing offers a polished surface on both the O.D. (outside diameter) and I.D. (inside diameter) of the tube.
The polished inside diameter is ideal for food and beverage passage because there are no welds showing since the inside diameter polishing, grinds the welded seam away, leaving a smooth, polished feel for food or liquid to easily and safely pass through, allowing the inside of the stainless tube to be virtually containment free, as long as your facility cleaning procedures are regularly followed.
Stored in their 15,000 sq. ft. Ontario, California facility (just minutes from Downtown Los Angeles), the sanitary tubing is 3-A approved, which means that the tube meets the highest levels of product quality and safety for food, dairy, and beverage applications.
Sanitary Tubing Key Features
- Mechanically polished O.D. and I.D.
- O.D. is RA 30 (180 grit polished or better)
- I.D. is RA 20 (240 grit polished or better)
- Stainless tubes come in 20’ lengths
- Tubes are individually poly sleeved with capped ends to ensure cleanliness upon delivery
- Sanitary tubes are individually stenciled with the size, material grade, and heat number every 36” of the material length for easy traceability
