June 23, 2008 – Ontario, CA – California based Affiliated Steel & Tube adds pipe threading to it’s value added services, providing clients with the opportunity to have custom size stainless steel and carbon pipes threaded.
Customers who have non-standard pipe threading size requirements can now have pipes custom threaded by Affiliated Steel & Tube. Customers can save time and money by having steel pipes custom threaded. Pipe lengths can now be longer than the standard sizes, thereby reducing material and labor costs by using fewer, shorter, pipe fittings to accomplish their projects.
“It’s a great advantage to having pipes threaded in-house. It allows our customers to purchase the stainless steel or carbon pipes from us and instead of wasting time and money sending them to another vendor, they can have them threaded all in one location”, said Steve Saldana, Production Manager.
Affiliated Steel & Tube adheres to the National Pipe Threading Standards and can thread stainless and carbon steel nipples from sizes 1/8” to 4”, up to schedule 40.
